THREADS 2014 Call for Papers

# Format
Presenters will be given 25 or 50 minutes to present their ideas and we will allocate 5 or 10 minutes for questions per presentation. Accepted papers will be available online beginning on the day of the conference. Accepted presentations will be available shortly after the conference ends.
# Schedule
Submissions will be accepted in three rounds. Accepted speakers will be notified the week following the submission deadline. Accepted submissions will be treated as confidential prior to publication on the THREADS 2014 website; rejected submissions will be permanently treated as confidential.
* Round 1: Submissions received by Monday, August 11th at 11:59pm
* Round 2: Submissions received by Monday, September 1st at 11:59pm
* Round 3: Submissions received by Monday, October 6th at 11:59pm
# Submissions
Submissions are accepted in the form of:
* academic research papers
* systemization of knowledge papers (overviews of available research)
* industry abstracts (like BlackHat)
* informational workshops on existing tools, practices, and lessons learned
* potentially others, email us to discuss: csaw-threads@isis.poly.edu
# Program Committee
Submissions will be judged by a panel of experts, including:

# Travel & Accommodation
We have a limited number of travel grants available for accepted speakers to help them attend the conference. We cannot guarantee funding until all requests are received and our budget is reviewed. If speaking is contingent upon funding, please let us know. We will make every effort to assist those who request funding.
# Best Paper Award
Qualified academic papers will be entered into the CSAW Research competition and eligible to win their best paper award (https://research.isis.poly.edu/). In order to qualify, papers must have been accepted to any conference or journal between September 1, 2013 and August 31, 2014 and the main author must have been a student at the time it was submitted. Papers must be presented as a poster by one of the authors during a two hour period at CSAW for final round judging.
